This morning the polls opened on the Android Network Awards. Although we tried to find out how the nominations were chosen and how to have CoursePro considered for nomination, we were ultimately unsuccessful. Here at MakeMobile, we think the Awards should help to shine light on those applications that are lesser known rather than re-highlight the applications that are already at the top of the popularity list by shear numbers of downloads. We would like to have seen some of the nominees be applications that we’d not heard of before. I mean, if there is already a popularity list in the Android Market, why reproduce it with an awards system?
